Quality and Environmental Health Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality and Environmental Health Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and improving QEHS systems, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with Irish and EU legislation.

  • Develop and Implement QEHS Systems: Develop, implement, and improve QEHS systems, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with Irish and EU legislation.
  • Lead Audits and Site Inspections: Lead audits, site inspections, toolbox talks, and staff training to maintain high standards of quality and safety.
  • Manage Safety Programs: Manage equipment and vehicle safety programs and track non-conformances to drive corrective/preventive actions.
  • Support Project Teams: Support project teams with risk assessments, method statements, and SOPs to ensure safe working practices.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Quality, or similar and 2+ years' experience in the construction, retrofit, or energy sector. Relevant certifications, strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office and QEHS systems, are also required.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Quality, or similar.
  • Experience: 2+ years' experience in the construction, retrofit, or energy sector.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of Public Works regulations and QEHS compliance in Ireland/EU.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, ISO Lead Auditor).
  • Skills: Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and QEHS systems.
  • Driver's Licence: Full, clean driver's licence.
