Clinical Supervisor in Orthodontics

Fixed-term and part-time opportunities exist for a Clinical Supervisor to oversee the clinical skills development of students while ensuring patient safety and management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure students develop clinical skills while managing patients effectively.
  • Familiarity with policies and procedures, including incident reporting using QPulse.
  • Integrate teaching and learning into the clinical experience from a student's perspective.
  • Provide regular feedback and necessary support to students.
  • Assess students and award appropriate clinical credits after each session.
  • Attend student progress meetings and interact with staff to relay relevant information.

Qualifications:

  • Be a qualified Dentist and Specialist Orthodontist.
  • Be registered with the Dental Council of Ireland, including the Register of Specialist Orthodontists.
  • Minimum five years' experience post dental qualification and 18 months post specialist qualification.

Note: Meeting health requirements and undergoing Garda Vetting is mandatory. Reference checks, dental council registration, Hepatitis B Status, and CPD are also required.
