**About the Role:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Officer to join our team at University College Dublin.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a high-quality safety and insurance framework for the university. This will involve providing workplace health and safety advice, undertaking safety audits, developing and providing safety training, producing risk assessments and safety statements, carrying out DSE assessments, and supporting the implementation of the university's safety management system.

**Key Responsibilities:*

  • Provide proactive health and safety advice to staff and students
  • Undertake regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and risks
  • Develop and deliver safety training programs to ensure compliance with regulations
  • Produce risk assessments and safety statements to inform decision-making
  • Carry out DSE assessments to minimize the risk of eye strain and other musculoskeletal disorders

The appointee will also support the operations of the university's insurance program after suitable training. A strong understanding of health and safety legislation and regulatory requirements is essential for this role.
