Racing Grounds Casual

Racecourse casual staff are needed to support the grounds team in taking care of the track and delivering 18 racedays per year.

As a member of the grounds team, your duties will include:

• Preparing and maintaining the racing surface and associated areas
• Performing ground repair involving replacement of divots and filling holes with soil/sand mixtures
• Presentation of jumps, rails, stables and general grounds
• Performing other necessary duties as assigned

Training and PPE will be provided.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• A can-do attitude and the ability to work reliably as part of a dedicated team
• Basic horse handling skills and/or an interest in agronomy are advantageous but not essential
• The role can involve long days outdoors in all weathers, so enjoyment of this environment is essential
• Flexibility in relation to working hours is required, including some weekends and evenings
