Product Development Leader

Job Description:

We seek an experienced Product Development Leader to oversee product development activities for customer projects. The successful candidate will ensure that customer requirements are defined, resolved into solutions and translated into product specifications for transfer to production.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of various types of manufacturing, mechanisms, materials, tolerance-analysis and design-for-manufacturing. They will be responsible for engineering development of user-focused product solutions that are optimized for manufacture.

Key responsibilities include leading concept development, engineering, design verification stages of new product developments, and delivery of Mechanical Design solutions for early stage and end stage product development.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in risk assessment, risk management as per ISO14971
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD (e.g. SolidWorks) and MS Office Suite
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and root cause analysis skills
  • Experience designing for manufacturability particularly for plastics
  • Experience with related supplier management
