About this Role:

Our organization seeks an accomplished Culinary Leader to oversee kitchen operations and direct staff.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily kitchen activities, working closely with the Head Chef to ensure efficient service delivery and quality standards
  • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to health regulations and monitoring temperature checks
  • Guide a team of Commis Chefs and Kitchen Porters, providing training opportunities to enhance their skills and performance
  • Set high standards for personal hygiene and appearance among all staff members
  • Collaborate with senior colleagues on menu development, pricing, and costing strategies
  • Pursue additional duties as required to drive business objectives

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 2 and 3 in Food Preparation and Cooking or equivalent qualification
  • Intermediate Food Safety Certificate
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a fast-paced kitchen setting, possessing knowledge of diverse cooking methods and kitchen sections
  • Previous leadership experience within a kitchen environment
