Platform Engineer Role

Are you a seasoned engineer looking to take on a leadership role and shape the future of our API platform? We're seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to lead the design and evolution of our API platform, driving innovation and excellence across our organization.

This role will involve collaborating closely with internal teams, including engineering, product, SRE, and security, to ensure the platform meets broad engineering needs. You'll be responsible for shaping the platform strategy, proposing and leading initiatives that improve developer efficiency and customer satisfaction, and ensuring integration with modern auth standards.

As a technical mentor and leader, you'll help maintain a high bar of engineering excellence and decision-making. If you enjoy collaboration, being part of a team, and have experience in technical leadership, we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement platform strategies that drive innovation and excellence across the organization.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure the platform meets broad engineering needs.
  • Propose and lead initiatives that improve developer efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure integration with modern auth standards, such as OAuth2 and OIDC.
  • Act as a technical mentor and leader, helping maintain a high bar of engineering excellence and decision-making.

Requirements:

  • Experience in technical leadership, with a proven track record of building production API platforms at scale.
  • Strong background in API lifecycle management, OpenAPI/Swagger or similar.
  • Proven expertise in delivering backwards-compatible APIs and building systems that reduce the risk of breaking changes.
  • Strong communication skills – you're equally comfortable writing an RFC, mentoring a teammate, or presenting to leadership.
  • Approachable, curious, and intellectually honest.
