As a highly skilled professional, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of cutting-edge medical devices. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in tooling development, preferably in the medical device industry or other highly regulated sectors.

Job Description
  • Lead technical development: You will be responsible for leading the technical development of new product launches, ensuring that all necessary steps are taken to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams: As a key member of the Quality Team, you will work closely with engineering, operations, and external vendors to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Develop and implement multi-cavity tooling strategies: With hands-on experience in designing and building complex tools, you will develop and implement innovative solutions to meet business needs.
  • Provide DFM/DFA input: Your expertise in optimizing tooling and manufacturing processes will be invaluable in supporting product development.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and build high-quality tooling for new product launches.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Develop and implement multi-cavity tooling strategies for complex builds.
  • Provide expert input on tooling and manufacturing processes during product development.
  • Support risk assessments and feasibility studies related to tooling and manufacturing.
  • Collaborate with vendors and subcontractors to ensure quality and timelines.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Extensive experience in tooling development: A proven track record of success in designing and building high-quality tooling is essential.
  • Hands-on experience with multi-cavity injection mould tools: You will have worked extensively with hot runner systems and complex tooling configurations.
  • Proven involvement in NPI and tooling lifecycle management: You will have demonstrated expertise in managing the entire tooling lifecycle from design to delivery.
  • Background in tooling design, validation, and cost estimation: Your understanding of tooling design principles, validation processes, and cost estimation techniques will be valuable assets.
