Job Title: Junior Civil Engineer

Our client is a leading civils contractor with a strong focus on renewals projects in Clare. They are seeking a highly motivated and driven Civil Engineer to join their growing team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for working off their own initiative, carrying responsibility, and looking to progress in a new role. Key responsibilities include:

  • Reporting and liaising with the Senior Engineer
  • Reviewing site drawings and specifications
  • Providing technical and structural support
  • Assisting with coordination of plant, machinery, and equipment
  • Ordering in materials when necessary
  • Completing all site works to the company's quality standards
  • Ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations
  • Maintaining an accurate site diary
  • Completing site inductions and briefings
  • Attending site meetings
  • Liaising with clients, consultancies, and the public (when appropriate)

Key Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, as well as experience in setting out and knowledge of Microsoft Office. They will also be able to demonstrate strong numeracy skills, previous experience working on a variety of civil projects, and a full driving license.
