**Job Description:**

We are seeking an experienced Upstream Senior Scientist 1 to lead and grow a team of scientists and research associates. This individual will be a technical leader in Drug Substance Technologies and will coordinate goals, support resourcing, and lead technical projects supporting commercial manufacturing.

The successful candidate will have experience with cell culture processing platforms, including bioreactor/fermentor optimization and scale-up. They will also have process characterization and risk assessment experience and the ability to perform statistical design of experiments (DoE), data analysis and interpretation, and present results.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills to articulate activities of the team through oral presentations and a proven flexibility and execution skills to deliver in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
