We are seeking a Health and Safety Manager to join our team. This role involves developing and implementing procedures to ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislative requirements and corporate policies.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Developing and administering procedures for health and safety management;
- Maintaining and developing ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001 as part of the Integrated Management System;
- Conducting and reviewing risk assessments;
- Coordinating training for staff on core health and safety subjects;
- Managing emergency preparedness and response plans;
- Providing health and safety advice and support on site and client projects;
- Investigating accidents and incidents and formal reporting;
- Preparing health and safety documentation for site projects;
- Establishing and implementing contractor safety management arrangements;
- Liaising with facilities, technical, and administrative staff to implement regulations related to Health and Safety;
- Working closely with senior managers and providing advice where necessary;
- Maintaining auditing systems according to current Environmental and Health and Safety legislation and corporate procedures;
- Maintaining and administering HSEQ software systems for document control, auditing, and incident reporting.
Requirements:
- A minimum level 7 degree or higher diploma in Health and Safety;
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a customer service-driven environment;
- Experience working with management systems such as ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 9001;
- A proven ability to work independently, with problem-solving skills and be innovative;
- Membership of IOSH (or working towards) or equivalent;
- Proficiency in Microsoft IT applications;
- A full clean driving license and access to own vehicle;
- Flexibility to travel as required;
- IND1 qualifications.
