This is a highly skilled and experienced Fire Protection Service Technician role where you will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance and repair of fire protection systems in commercial buildings.
Your primary duties will include:
- Performing regular inspections of sprinkler systems, fire alarms and special hazard suppression systems to ensure they are functioning correctly.
- Identifying any deficiencies or discrepancies with NFPA standards and reporting these to the service manager.
- Managing accurate records of services performed and corrective actions recommended.
- Gaining knowledge of and adhering to company and customer safety policies.
- Maintaining a professional appearance and attitude when working with customers and public.
You will also be responsible for:
- Promoting company services to customers.
- Working collaboratively as part of a team to achieve goals and objectives.
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with customers to ensure their needs are met.
To succeed in this role you will need:
Key Skills and Qualifications:- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an apprenticeship program or relevant work experience.
- OSHA 30 or 10 certification.
- Certification in sprinkler/standpipe systems, backflow, fire alarm and portable fire extinguishers.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work at heights and in confined spaces.
