Main Purpose Of The Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fresh Food Manager to join our team. As the Fresh Food Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of our fresh food departments, ensuring that they operate efficiently and effectively, providing our customers with the very best customer service and fresh food offering at all times.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversight of daily operations in the fresh food department
  • Management of sales targets, stock levels, and waste control
  • Leadership of the team, fostering good working relationships among staff members
  • Regular meetings and communication with team members to ensure understanding of expectations and goals
  • Staff performance management, providing regular feedback, recognition, and encouragement
  • Customer service, dealing with queries efficiently, professionally, and consistently with store policy
  • Rostering and leave management for the fresh food department
  • Maintenance of merchandising and presentation standards in the fresh food area, aligning with store planograms and guidelines

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of senior deli or kitchen role experience is required
  • Keen attention to detail, ensuring premium products and experiences for our customers
  • Experience with bakery, hot food, and pre-packaged goods
  • Ice-cream parlour and/or barista experience is a bonus
  • HACCP training is necessary for food safety and compliance
  • Staff management, training, and encouragement skills are essential
