General Nursing Care

We are currently seeking experienced nursing professionals to join our team in Wexford.

About the Role:
  • To provide and maintain high standards of care within a facility, ensuring all staff are performing their duties adequately.
  • This role reports to and is responsible to a Director of Nursing.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure residents receive dignified, private, and respectful treatment as individuals.
  2. Maintain professional standards in accordance with An Bord Altranais Code of Professional Conduct and have an understanding of relevant documents and implications for practice.
  3. Adhere to Servisource policies by all staff.
  4. Keep clear, concise, and accurate records within the home in line with legislation and Servisource standards.
  5. Ensure agreed policies and procedures for drug control, administration, and custody are followed.
  6. Be knowledgeable about HIQA standards and participate in inspection processes.
  7. Liaise with healthcare professionals regarding resident discharge to ensure continuity of care.
Requirements:
  • Registration on the Irish live register (NMBI) with active PIN.
  • Fluent English language skills (verbal and written) and eligibility to work in Ireland.
  • Strong communication and listening skills.
  • Caring and compassionate attitude, with a passion for providing high-quality person-centred care.
