About the Role

Thornshaw Scientific and B Braun are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to provide technical support to Automated Infusion Systems (AIS) across Ireland and beyond.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronic / electrical / mechanical / biomedical engineering and excellent communication skills.

Key Accountabilities

  • Repair and maintain Infusion devices, accessories, and software to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement installation and commissioning requirements.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of updates and upgrades for Infusion Devices and related software applications.
  • Provide technical and user support training for B Braun products and other relevant equipment.
  • Maintain high levels of technical competency and contribute to a culture of continuous learning.
  • Travel regularly throughout Ireland and further as required.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electronic / electrical / mechanical / biomedical engineering or similar field.
  • Proven experience in infusion device technical services (maintenance & repair) and I.T. hardware.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Familiarity with E.U. Directives for medical devices and I.S.O. quality standards.
  • Clean driving license.
