Structural Lead - Building Design

We seek a highly skilled Structural Lead to work in our multidisciplinary office on varied projects. Our current workload includes Commercial, Residential, Healthcare, Leisure, Industrial, Housing and Education Sectors for both public and private clients.

The successful candidate will work as part of a structural team, taking responsibility for delivering high-quality Structural aspects of projects. Key duties include acting as a Lead Structural Engineer, preparing project reports, communicating complex technical matters clearly and overseeing design drawings preparation.

Desirable skills include being a Chartered Engineer with good communication and interpersonal skills, experience in delivery of Structural Engineering Design and proficiency in MS Office Suite.

  • Acting as a Lead Structural Engineer on Multidiscipline Design Teams.
  • Design input and oversight of the delivery of all Structural aspects of projects.
  • Preparation of project reports (Planning, Tender, Construction Stage) with an ability to communicate complex technical matters clearly.
  • Communication of design intent via PowerPoint presentations.
  • Preparation of fee proposals and quality submissions for design contracts with public and private clients.
  • Communication with internal and external parties via email.
  • Oversight of preparation of design drawings.
  • Preparation of design calculations for internal and external review.
  • Undertaking duties of Ancillary Certifier for the C&S discipline.
