Safety Leadership Specialist

The successful candidate will provide critical support to operations teams and functions across the business, driving and promoting a culture of health and safety, compliance, and excellence.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the company's growth strategy, with plans to double revenue and headcount over the next five years.
The role holder will have key responsibilities including:
- Providing guidance and support on contract and client requirements related to compliance with company, ISO, and legislative standards.
- Designing and implementing health and safety plans in line with company, legal, ISO, and contractual requirements.
- Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with key stakeholders.
- Reviewing performance standards to meet client and customer expectations.
- Managing legal obligations and client expectations in accordance with industry best practices.
- Developing innovative solutions and best practices to achieve and maintain a positive health and safety culture.
- Overseeing site-specific risk assessments and supporting pre-planned walks and reviews of Method Statements/Risk Assessments, Safe Plans of Action (SPAs), and work permit systems.
- Driving compliance and continuous improvement through auditing and education/training.
- Ensuring audits are completed and implementing corrective action as required.
- Managing the health and safety legal register to mitigate against incidents and risks.
- Reviewing incident investigations and reporting to the Senior Management Team.
- Attending/chairing safety team meetings and safety whiteboard meetings.
- Supporting training as required.
- Reviewing and reporting on relevant KPIs to the Senior Management Team and stakeholders.
- Primary degree (or equivalent qualification) in Health and Safety or equivalent experience.
- Chartered membership of the Institute of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH) or at least working towards attaining this accreditation.
- Full clean driving license.
- Valid visa to work in Ireland on a full-time basis.
- Safe Pass.
- PSDP.
- PSCS.
- Office Ergonomics and VDU Assessor.
- Train the Trainer.
- Auditor.
