The Role of the Therapeutic Intervention SpecialistThis role involves providing ongoing, autism-specific therapeutic interventions to help individuals build communication skills, self-confidence, and independence.
- Deliver one-to-one and group therapeutic sessions based on personalised intervention plans.
- Offer practical strategies to families and carers to support communication in everyday life.
- Collaborate with occupational therapists, psychologists, and assistant psychologists to ensure integrated and cohesive support.
- Adapt therapy approaches to reflect each individual's unique needs, preferences, and strengths.
- Keep accurate records of interventions and client progress.
- Contribute to service development, shaping innovative therapy programmes.
This role requires a degree in Speech and Language Therapy and relevant experience working with autistic individuals. You must be registered with CORU and eligible to work in Ireland. Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualised intervention plans.
- Provide training and support to families and carers.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve comprehensive care.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
A degree in Speech and Language Therapy and relevant experience working with autistic individuals are necessary for this role. Registration with CORU and eligibility to work in Ireland are also required.
