Senior Site Engineer – A Key Role in Project Success

Job Description:

The role of Senior Site Engineer is a pivotal position within our organization, responsible for overseeing the implementation of construction projects from inception to completion.

  • Set up and manage site layouts using total stations and GPS equipment to ensure precision and accuracy.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication procedures with the design team, client, and subcontractors to guarantee seamless information flow, approvals, meetings, and reporting.
  • Monitor and record daily activities, relevant information, and occurrences in the site management system, Procore (training provided).
  • Conduct site work in a safe manner, address and report any safety concerns, adhering to rigorous health and safety protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with company-wide quality and efficiency standards by implementing and maintaining ISO procedures.
  • Provide regular project updates to the management team on programme schedules and adherence to plans, specifications, and building codes.
  • Carry out surveys to verify that engineering details are being accurately followed on-site.
  • Supervise and inspect the work of subcontractors to uphold high-quality standards.
  • Review documents, schedule site meetings, and ensure overall project compliance with the building schedule.
  • Report to the Project Manager and senior management team on all aspects of engineering related to the project.
  • Train and mentor junior staff and engineers, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Guarantee project close-out, including securing warranties, guarantees, and acceptance of work, subcontract, and vendor closing, including as-built submissions.
