About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Housekeeper. This role will involve maintaining the highest hygienic standards in our care homes, ensuring a safe and clean environment for our service users and patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Report any concerns regarding the safety of our service users and patients to your line manager or other manager within Nua.
  • Act responsibly and cooperate with regulators to ensure the best interests of our service and its users are maintained.
  • Maintain patient dignity, courtesy, and professionalism at all times.
  • Advocate for patients as appropriate.
  • Assist in providing a quality service, adhering to national and locally devised policies and regulations.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all information made available during work.
  • Ensure the ward environment is maintained to the highest hygienic standards.
  • Complete daily cleaning responsibilities outlined in the role-specific key task list.
  • Maintain strict personal and general hygiene standards in the workplace.
  • Carry out assigned and delegated responsibilities involving direct care and activities of daily living under supervision.
  • When directed, be responsible for the general cleaning of the area, ensuring agreed standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained, documented according to national and local policies.
  • When directed, be responsible for food preparation and serving, following national and local policies and standards.
Requirements
  • 1 year's experience in a similar role.
  • Experience working with people with additional and/or complex needs an advantage.
  • Enthusiastic, proactive self-motivator who can provide holistic supports of high quality.
  • Ability to adapt to new environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills under pressure, ability to work independently.
  • Ability to set high personal standards of performance and delivery of desired results.
  • Excellent organisational skills/self-motivated/self-starter.
