Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct scheduled tests and calibration procedures to verify the functionality and accuracy of electrical components within the door systems.">
  • Adjust settings as necessary to optimize performance.">
  • Have a good understanding of Hydraulics and Pneumatics.">
  • Fault find to component or circuit board level.">
  • Undertake Planned Preventative Maintenance on a range of industrial doors, dock levellers, loading docks, and air locks.">
  • Interact with customers to understand their needs, provide technical support, and address concerns or questions regarding systems.">
  • Work on various specialised door types, with training and continual learning opportunities provided.">
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and company safety standards related to the scope of work.">
  • Make decisions within parameters set by the line manager, based on experience.">
  • Produce technical reports explaining ongoing issues and faults.">
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and PPE in good working condition.">
  • Report to supervisor, keeping them informed of activity progress and highlighting any problems.">

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

">
  • ">
  • Experience with industrial doors including installation, service, and repairs.">
  • Work experience with brands like GEZE, DORMA, GiLGEN, HORTON, SUESTER, EFAFLEX, SAFE DOOR Roll Fast Doors.">
  • Experience in mechanical, commercial, and/or industrial maintenance roles.">
  • Good knowledge of electrical and mechanical fault-finding.">
  • Excellent communication skills, with ability to work efficiently both independently and within a team.">
  • A safe approach to using power tools and hand tools.">
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues with automated door systems.">
  • Technical training in electrical systems preferred.">
  • A systematic approach to problem solving.">
  • Familiarity with MS Office and report writing skills.">
