Sysco Ireland is a leading supplier to the catering sector, currently recruiting for Warehouse General Operatives to join our dynamic and successful teams at our Newcastle West Distribution Centre.
Main Responsibilities:
- Meet or exceed minimum efficiency and accuracy levels established through engineered production standards.
- Work efficiently, proactively, and Health and Safety conscious in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Develop a good working knowledge of product, placement, and inventory control techniques and procedures.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and housekeeping, ensuring a clean workspace at all times.
Key Accountabilities:
- Reporting damages, accidents, and issues relating to Food Safety
- Ensure Attendance and punctuality at work, maintaining good relationships with team members.
Requirements:
- Hand selects and receives orders within various warehouse environments of fluctuating temperatures.
- Label and dispatch products according to picking procedures.
- Stack product on pallets in accordance with proper selecting procedures, operating electric power pallet trucks or forklifts as needed.
- Stage pallets for loading on proper bay locations, adhering to Standard Operating Procedures and reporting any unsafe conditions to supervisors immediately.
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to communicate effectively at all levels of the business, relating to job duties and safety regulations.
