We are seeking a skilled Actuary to collaborate with our dynamic Actuarial Team in Dublin. Reporting to the Head of Reserving & Capital, this role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a hybrid working model.

The Opportunity

This is an exceptional chance to gain exposure to all aspects of the actuarial function, working closely with colleagues in finance, claims, pricing, and underwriting both domestically and internationally.

As an Actuary in our multi-disciplinary team, you will play a pivotal role in:

  • Mastering Allianz's internal IFRS17 and Solvency II modelling platform and frameworks, driving further enhancements within consistent and robust process setups.
  • Executing IFRS17-related quarter-end reserving processes and preparing Group reporting requirements.
  • Engaging in actuarial/Solvency II elements of business planning and steering, anticipating and communicating potential changes in quarter-on-quarter results impacting business metrics.
  • Supporting the automation of actuarial processes including Group reporting.

You will also contribute to annual calibration of Solvency II internal model and associated reporting requirements, participate in local initiatives and international group projects, and foster strong working relationships with all internal and Allianz SE Group stakeholders.

About This Role

This Actuary position requires a Qualified Actuary with 3-5 years of experience in an actuarial role, preferably in a non-life (re)insurer. Proficiency in IFRS17 and Solvency II is essential, as well as advanced related software skills.

Desirable qualifications include in-depth knowledge of Solvency II, extensive understanding of the Irish non-life insurance market, and proven ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues.

The successful candidate will be provided with relevant Conduct Standards training and will be subject to F&P Standards, including the Individual Accountability Framework.
