Lead Social Work Manager

This senior management role oversees the leadership and operational management of a social work team.

The post holder will provide day-to-day direction, ensuring effective delivery of services across General Adult Psychiatry, Adolescent Mental Health, Psychiatry of Later Life, Addiction Services, Eating Disorder Services, and other specialist programmes.

Responsibilities:
  • To lead and manage a high-performing social work team, driving results-oriented work practices.
  • To contribute to service development and restructuring as necessary.
  • To possess significant experience and training in safeguarding, promoting a safe environment for all.

Key qualifications include:

  • A third-level qualification in a relevant field.
  • Relevant postgraduate qualifications, ideally in healthcare or staff management.
  • Professional membership with CORU.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform, lead, and manage at a high level.
  • Significant relevant mental health experience at a senior level, preferably gained in a similar setting.
