Key Responsibilities include leadership roles in operational management, embedding cultural values and behaviours, leading a culture of Safety, Compliance & Operational Excellence, responsible for the execution of the cheese production plan, ensuring demands of planning and customers are met.

The role involves daily T3 production meetings, driving accountability of in-shift performance, collaborating with site functions H&S, Environmental, QA, Process Technology, and Maintenance to drive consistent performance and operational improvement.

A strong organisation and planning skills, demonstrated ability to use DMAIC methodology, knowledge and experience on implementation of operational excellence are required.

About this Role

This Production Manager opportunity is available at our Belview facility in South Kilkenny. As a key member of the Operations team, you will play a crucial role in contributing to the success of the business by providing challenge and support to the team.

You will be responsible for managing labour efficiency, material efficiency and operational efficiency to predetermined financial targets. Responsibility for product delivery, product quality and product yields on a day to day basis is also part of the role.

Requirements
  • A third level qualification in Food Science, Microbiology, Engineering or equivalent is required.
  • Knowledge of Cheesemaking is desirable.
  • 3-5 years management experience in a food, manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment is necessary.
  • Demonstrated ability to use DMAIC methodology and knowledge and experience on implementation of operational excellence including standard work, tiered meetings and continuous improvement.
