Job Title
  • Maintenance Technician - Electrical Systems
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems maintenance and repair.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Fixed Wire Testing
  • PAT Testing
  • RCD / Injection Testing
  • Thermographic Imaging of Electrical Distribution Boards
  • Electrical Distribution board maintenance on LV Systems
  • Electrical Fault Finding
  • Emergency Light Testing
  • General electrical works
  • Generator testing

Duties will also include:

  • Rotating on call rota and providing critical response to clients site
  • Establishing and managing emergency call out support
  • Coordinating specialist subcontractors requirements for both PPM and reactive works
  • Supporting the SPO team with MAC & space planning requests / updates
  • Effective management of clients Critical Business Infrastructure (CBI) with key goals on minimising client downtime / identifying & reducing operational risks
  • Operating / managing key building systems (BMS, Fire Alarm, Critical alarm monitoring, energy monitoring etc)
  • Carrying out contractor performance audits and monitoring trends
  • Assessing the building services infrastructure for robustness and effectiveness; investigating and reporting in detail upon infrastructure short falls, problems and incidents, recommending options for remedial actions
  • Project Management support works on site including engineering and building works
  • To close / update completed PPM tasks on the site Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
Requirements
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • Experience in: Facilities Management, Building Services or Property Management
  • National Craft Certificate (Electrical) or another suitable award, equivalent to Level 6 or higher on the National Framework
  • Membership and/or qualifications for IWFM or IOSH
  • Facilities management experience working in a corporate or client facing environment
  • Experience maintaining, testing & managing critical building infrastructure
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office packages
  • Proven problem solving and project management experience
