The Clinical Nurse Manager I Paediatrics will be responsible for leading and managing a team of nurses and support colleagues in the provision of high-quality patient care. This includes monitoring and improving standards of practice, safety, service, and patient care, as well as implementing policies and procedures related to the administration of medicines.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- General:
- Monitor and improve standards of good practice, safety, service, and patient care.
- Implement UPMC Kildare Hospital policies and legislative requirements regarding storage and administration of medicines.
- Evaluate and monitor patient care using quality systems to ensure delivery of high-quality care.
- Managerial:
- Ensure highest professional standards using evidence-based care planning approach.
- Foster effective teamwork and communication among multidisciplinary teams.
- Manage resources efficiently and effectively to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Professional Accountability and Development:
- Maintain professional knowledge and expertise through ongoing education and training.
- Act as a positive role model and promote a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
**Requirements:**
- Registered dual-qualified (general and paediatrics) nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
- Minimum of 3 years recent experience in surgical services.
- Demonstrate leadership skills and ability to influence others.
