Consultant/Specialist in General Adult Psychiatry - South Coastal Ireland

We are seeking an accomplished Consultant/Specialist in General Adult Psychiatry to join our team in Cork, Ireland. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality medical services to patients in need.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing consultant medical services in Cork Mental Health Service
  • Care and treatment of patients, ensuring effective co-ordination with the multidisciplinary team and other health agencies

In addition to your clinical expertise, you will also be expected to lead and engage in the provision of community-based assessment and treatment programmes.

This role presents a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, collaborating with a diverse range of professionals to deliver exceptional patient care.

To succeed in this position, you will require:

  • Specialist Registration with the Irish Medical Council in Psychiatry or eligibility for Specialist Registration
  • UK and EEA candidates with Specialist Registration in Psychiatry can apply
  • 5 - 10 years' relevant experience post-graduation
  • Possesses a detailed knowledge and understanding of the relevant specialist domain

Benefits

  • Basic Salary scale between €231,527- €280,513
  • Full comprehensive relocation package on offer
  • Additional remuneration for on-call duties and overtime as applicable depending on rota (up to €19,000)
  • Highly flexible contract that enables consultants opportunity for a variety of different work patterns
  • Up to €12,000 CME and €8,000 research grant
  • 30 days annual leave
  • 10 public holidays
  • Continuous Medical Education leave
  • Hours: 37 hours per week, plus on-call supplements
