This Ambulatory Healthcare Support Specialist position is responsible for assisting healthcare providers during exams, performing various clinical tasks, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality patient care by assisting providers during exams, using clinical knowledge to anticipate their needs and ensure seamless interactions with patients.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including vital signs, test results, and treatment plans.
- Manage exam room supplies and equipment efficiently, minimizing wait times and ensuring smooth operations.
- Perform diagnostic testing and specimen collection as ordered by providers, accurately labeling, logging, and processing specimens according to protocol.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, providing clear explanations and addressing concerns.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent and 1 year experience in customer-focused/service setting required.
- Associate's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and computer experience preferred.
