Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead the implementation and oversight of our data governance framework. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that data is treated as a strategic asset, supporting regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and risk mitigation.

This role requires strong leadership skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with business, risk, and technology teams to embed data governance principles across the organisation. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data governance frameworks, data lifecycle management, and regulatory requirements.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Supporting the Head of Data Governance in rolling out the Data Governance framework
  • Creating and maintaining policies and procedures in accordance with data management best practices
  • Collaborating with business, risk, and technology teams to create a target state operating model for data management
  • Developing an Enterprise Level Data Scorecard to showcase progress across the various data management capabilities
  • Providing foundational data governance training for employees
  • Managing and promoting a Data Culture

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A deep understanding of data governance frameworks, data lifecycle management, and regulatory requirements
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with business, risk, and technology teams
  • Experience with data governance tools (e.g. MDM, data catalogues, data quality platforms)
  • Bachelor's degree in information management, Risk, Business, or related field
  • Professional certifications or similar (e.g. CDMP, DCAM, CMIP)
