Job Description:

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating construction activities on-site. With a focus on efficiency, safety, and adherence to established standards and schedules, this role ensures successful project execution. Your expertise in managing projects from start to finish, including budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management, will be invaluable to our organization.

Responsibilities:
  1. Review project plans and requirements, producing a detailed baseline programme on Microsoft Project as needed.
  2. Track programme updates regularly, issuing timely reports to stakeholders.
  3. Identify critical path delays when they occur, demonstrating their impact on the programme.
  4. Negotiate extensions of time with clients as required, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
  5. Review project pricing and track internal costs to ensure the project is delivered within budget.
  6. Identify areas where the project is losing money, develop strategies to mitigate losses, and communicate proposed solutions to clients.
  7. Understand what is included in the project contract/price and identify project variations where they occur.
  8. Negotiate additional costs with clients as required.
  9. Review contract documentation, communicating required notices to clients within specified timeframes.
  10. Act as line manager for Site Agent, Project Engineer, and QS, ensuring effective leadership and guidance.
  11. Responsible for all workers on site through the Site Agent.
  12. Review and approve monthly progress claims.
  13. Review and approve Risk Assessment Method Statements and other pre-construction HS documentation.
  14. Carry out regular HS and quality audits.
  15. Identify design issues and communicate proposed solutions to clients.
