Job Description

As a Technical Lead, you will be responsible for designing and solving problems in large, distributed systems. Your primary focus will be on hands-on coding/developing software in Java and SQL.

Our team is passionate about creating world-class experiences for developers at our company. We aim to make building, deploying, and monitoring our software as easy, fun, and frictionless as possible.

  • Improve our pipeline to collect DevOps metrics by integrating new data sources into our datalake.
  • Build tools that help engineers tackle challenges or bottlenecks highlighted by metrics.
Requirements

We are looking for a seasoned Technical Lead with:

  1. Previous team, technical, or pod lead experience - managing engineers or projects and taking responsibility for the team's software design and delivery.
  2. A passion for contributing to the code base; this is a hands-on role.
  3. Strong ownership of projects end to end, with a track record of successfully rolling out infrastructure and collaborating with multiple Engineering teams to deliver successful solutions.
  4. Designing robust data models to represent complex domain data that scales effectively as use cases evolve.
Responsibilities

As a Technical Lead, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading a small team of engineers where autonomy and flexibility are core values.
  • Helping set the direction for the continued evolution of backend development.
  • Maintaining a strong connection with internal stakeholders to ensure cross-functional collaboration.
Qualifications

Proven ability to solve complicated technical problems and analyze trade-offs with empathy for the developers.

Experience mentoring and teaching engineers in their areas of expertise.
