Seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to provide high-quality psychological assessment, formulation, and therapeutic interventions for adults referred to the Adult Mental Health Service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, including clinical interviews, psychometric testing, and structured observations.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of clients' difficulties, drawing on a range of theoretical models.
  • Deliver individual and group-based therapeutic interventions (e.g. cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy-informed approaches, acceptance and commitment therapy, schema therapy, psychoeducation).
  • Collaborate with clients to establish recovery-focused goals and treatment plans.
  • Provide family and carer support sessions, when appropriate.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team case discussions, care planning, and clinical decision-making.
  • Offer consultation and psychological input to colleagues within the multidisciplinary team.
  • Engage in risk assessment and management, ensuring safe and effective clinical practice.
  • Maintain high standards of clinical documentation in line with health service guidelines.
  • Contribute to service evaluation, audit, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Support the development of mental health programs and pathways within the service.
Requirements:
  • Advanced degree in Clinical Psychology or related field.
  • Registration with relevant professional body.
  • Proven experience in providing psychological assessment and intervention services.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
