Psychiatric Nurse Position

About the Role:

This Psychiatric Nurse opportunity is based in Kilkenny and involves providing high-quality care to patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by medical staff.
  • Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the medical team.
  • Assist with diagnostic tests and procedures, ensuring patient safety and well-being at all times.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, adhering to strict confidentiality guidelines.
  • Develop strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals through effective communication and empathy.
  • Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their loved ones during challenging times.
  • Work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently.

Requirements:

  • Hold active NMBI registration, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Demonstrate a minimum of 1 year experience in a similar Psychiatric Nurse role, showcasing expertise and skill development.
  • Be flexible and willing to work various shifts as required, demonstrating adaptability and a positive attitude.
  • Reside in Ireland and possess the right to work without restriction, aligning with employment laws and regulations.
  • Undergo Garda Vetting, ensuring a safe working environment for patients and colleagues alike.
  • Candidates who have lived outside of Ireland for more than 6 months after the age of 16 will also need to hold International Police Clearance from that country(ies), upholding transparency and accountability.
  • Demonstrate proven ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, maintaining composure under pressure and delivering high-quality results.
