Job Description

We're looking for a skilled Backend Developer to join our team. As a Backend Developer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing existing websites with payment capabilities, such as embedding payment widgets and other payment solutions.

Your primary responsibility will be to work with merchants to ensure alignment for effective branding, to facilitate online payments and drive conversions. You'll collaborate with design, marketing and engineering teams to deliver a top-tier online experience for our customers.

Responsibilities
  1. Enhance existing websites with payment capabilities, such as embedding payment widgets and other payment solutions.
  2. Partner with merchants to ensure alignment for effective branding, to facilitate online payments and drive conversions.
  3. Work closely with design, marketing and engineering teams to deliver a seamless online experience for our customers.
  4. Write clean, efficient and reusable code using modern web development frameworks and technologies.
  5. Integrate APIs, analytics tools, and third-party services as needed.
  6. Conduct regular website testing and debugging to maintain functionality and performance.
  7. Stay up-to-date with the latest web development trends, technologies and best practices to continuously improve the site, obsessing over payments and wider fintech industry trends and technologies.
Requirements
  • Located in Europe only - Ireland or UK ideally.

Technical Skills:

  • Experience with backend technologies such as Node.js, Python, or PHP is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms like WordPress, Webflow, or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and tools for optimizing website performance.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Understanding of API integrations and web security standards.
  • Experience in payments and embedding payment solutions a plus.
