Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Technical Facilities Manager to support our Dublin Region office. This key role involves overseeing multiple contracts, providing expert technical guidance, and playing an active part in shaping and enhancing our technical service capabilities.

The successful candidate will be based in the Dublin office, supporting clients within the Dublin Region. They will oversee various contracts, offer strategic hands-on management of technical components within client contracts, ensure alignment with client expectations and industry best practices, and collaborate with peers to support technical delivery across a wider range of client accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide strategic hands-on management of technical components within client contracts.
  2. Collaborate with peers to support technical delivery across a wider range of client accounts.
  3. Lead and support the development of technical services to maintain industry leadership and respond to emerging trends and client needs.
  4. Manage all day-to-day operations under their remit and report directly to the General Manager.
  5. Ensure compliance with quality, environmental, health & safety standards, and company policies.
  6. Maintain high client satisfaction and service quality.
  7. Manage operational budgets and reporting.
  8. Approve contractor invoices within agreed terms.
  9. Manage vendor relationships and negotiate service contracts.
  10. Identify and implement innovations to improve service delivery.
  11. Provide technical advice and problem-solving support.
  12. Support management as required.
  13. Conduct site audits to ensure standards are maintained and documentation is up to date.
  14. Develop and support the growth of direct reports, fostering resilience and succession planning.
  15. Participate in a 24/7 emergency on-call service if required.
  16. Manage procurement processes across all sites.
  17. Ensure accurate and real-time system updates (CAFM) across all sites.

Candidates Must Possess:

  1. Formal technical education or diploma in electrical or mechanical engineering.
  2. Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in FM or building services maintenance in a leadership role.
  3. Strong technical knowledge of building services and equipment.
  4. Previous management experience.
  5. Excellent time management and self-motivation skills.
  6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  7. Proficiency in report writing and presenting information clearly and concisely.
  8. High computer literacy, including CAFM, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and familiarity with the latest IT applications.
