Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Engineer to join our team at Chipright. As a Product Engineer, you will be responsible for managing product support from concept to sustain through the New Product Development cycle.

Main Responsibilities

  • Interface with design, process, test, reliability, and quality engineering teams to address product issues throughout the product lifetime.
  • Work alongside manufacturing and NPD teams to implement continuous quality improvement changes that improve yield, reduce manufacturing costs, and scrap costs.
  • Analyze customer returns and determine the root cause of failure mechanisms using techniques such as 8D and Ishikawa analysis.
  • Establish cross-functional teams to identify and implement corrective actions and drive towards zero defects.
  • Benchmark competitor products, specifications, die size, and process optimization.
  • Assist with qualification reject investigations and generate technical documentation related to quality or product improvements.
  • Maintain product data and documentation, and provide mentorship opportunities for junior engineers.

Requirements

  • BS in Electrical Engineering required (MS preferred), with minimum experience in new product design and/or product introduction and product management.
  • Experience with mixed-signal semiconductor IC development is an advantage.
  • Prior experience in product electrical or electronic design/measurement, and applications, test, and use analytical problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills, ability to independently problem-solve, and superior verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • A strong team player with leadership capabilities, able to deliver timely results in high-volume production environments meeting extremely high quality standards.
