About Our Quantity Surveyor Role

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our professional team in County Dublin.

Job Summary

A well-established cost consultancy seeks a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to manage all aspects of cost planning and control for residential projects.

The ideal candidate will take ownership of exciting projects and work within a supportive, professional environment.

  • Cost Planning and Control: Manage all aspects of cost planning and control for residential projects.
  • Estimation and Budgeting: Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities.
  • Procurement: Lead procurement activities, including preparation and assessment of tenders.
  • Cost Management: Monitor and report on project costs, cash flow, and variations.
  • Accounting: Prepare and submit interim valuations and final accounts.
  • Liaison: Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Value Engineering: Provide value engineering advice to maximise quality and cost efficiency.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with contractual, legal, and quality standards.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years post-graduate experience in a professional QS or consultancy environment.
  • A proven track record in residential project delivery is essential.
  • Excellent knowledge of Irish building contracts and procurement methods.
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and QS software tools.
