Construction Manager Role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee road maintenance contracts in County Cork and Kerry.

The ideal candidate will have a background in Civil Engineering, road servicing or quantity surveying and be able to manage all aspects of day-to-day operations, costs, crews, and materials for each project.

A full driving licence is mandatory for this role, as you will be required to drive to various locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily site operations, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Manage site resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to maximize productivity and minimize waste
  • Coordinate with sub-contractors and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery
  • Monitor progress, update senior management, and enforce health and safety protocols
  • Conduct regular site inspections, address safety concerns, and ensure quality standards are met
  • Lead site meetings, collaborate on budgets and cost control, and liaise with clients, engineers, and stakeholders
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of construction management experience, with road project focus
  • Strong proficiency in project management tools and software
  • Full driving licence essential for site visits
