Job Title: Senior Contracts Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our contract management activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the pre and post contract requirements of our Infrastructure Department's Portfolio.

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Contract Compliance: Ensure that all contract management standards are adhered to and fulfilled in line with the requirements of awarded framework agreements and Work Orders (call-off contracts).
  2. Commercial Relationships: Manage commercial relationships and ways of working with Contractors and/or Consultants to ensure continuous improvement in the delivery of works and services.
  3. Contract Administration: Review draft contracts and ensure they are fit for purpose and tailored to project in question, coordinating inputs from advisors where required (e.g., legal, technical, financial).
  4. Negotiations: Lead contractual negotiations and provide guidance to Project Manager and/or Services Manager, where necessary, and Programme Director.
  5. Performance Monitoring: Undertake delay damages calculations if required and establish category/programme contract management strategies, reviewing and approving individual contract management strategies.

The role requires a strong understanding of contract management principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and negotiation skills.
