Job Overview

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Accountant to cover a maternity contract. The successful candidate will report directly into our Accounts Manager.

Key Qualifications and Skills:

  • Audit experience with proficiency in MS Excel and Word
  • Demonstrated analytical and communication skills, ability to organize work effectively and meet deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the preparation of monthly accounts from initiation to sign off in the area of profit & loss, balance sheet
  • Preparation of quarterly accounting information, to include Cost Centre/Departmental Reporting
  • Monitoring compliance with corporate policies regarding Cash Management
  • Preparation of budgets / forecasts and daily/weekly/monthly cash reconciliations from various depots
  • Preparation / filing VAT3/VAT RTD/Intra Stat and other statutory returns
