AWS Optical Network Developer

We're looking for a talented AWS Optical Network Developer to join our team. In this role, you'll design and develop software and services that ensure the performance and deployed configuration of our global optical network.
You'll be working closely with System and Network Development Engineers, Network Operations, and peer software teams to ensure scalability, reduced operational burden, integration with existing tooling, and customer focus.
AWS Infrastructure Services is responsible for designing, planning, delivering, and operating all AWS global infrastructure. As part of this team, you'll tackle complex problems with numerous variables affecting the supply chain.
You'll collaborate with a diverse group of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other essential roles. Daily activities will include creating designs for components and services, estimating upcoming deliverables, proposing solutions, reviewing code, writing optimized code, analyzing root causes, and updating projects.
This position comes with on-call responsibilities, usually for one week every 4-5 weeks during standard working hours. Your duties will involve identifying and resolving recurring platform issues, contributing to documentation, processes, and procedures, and participating in an on-call rotation.
