Medtronic is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our Cardiac Ablation Solutions Operating Unit in Galway, Ireland.

As a key member of the team, you will design, develop, and integrate complex electrical systems for innovative medical devices.

Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will drive projects from concept through production, leveraging your expertise in electrical engineering, medical device development, and technical project planning.

  • Design, develop, and integrate complex electrical systems for medical devices, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.">
  • Lead or contribute to technical project planning, establishing timelines, defining deliverables, and proactively identifying and mitigating potential risks.">
  • Develop detailed specifications, schematics, and PCB layouts, collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet design and performance requirements.">
  • Perform system-level integration of hardware, firmware, and software components, ensuring seamless functionality and compatibility.">
  • Conduct risk assessments and root cause investigations for electrical issues, implementing robust corrective and preventive actions.">

  • ">
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering required, with a minimum of 4 years of electrical design experience or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years electrical design experience.">
  • Experience in medical device or highly regulated industries, with a strong background in electrical engineering and circuit design.">
  • Proficiency in analog, digital, high voltage, or RF circuit design, as well as solid understanding of EMC design and test principles.">
  • Hands-on experience with prototyping, testing, and debugging PCB assemblies, with knowledge of analysis, simulation, and CAD tools for PCB design.">
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and mentor junior engineers.">
