Machine Operator Role

The successful applicant will be responsible for operating various types of plant machinery, including containers, curtain siders, and recycling sorting equipment. They will also conduct regular checks on the machines to ensure they are in good working order.

Key responsibilities will include loading and unloading containers, operating a 360 material rehandler, and ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained and safe to use.

  • Operate mobile plant as directed by the site manager.
  • Inspect equipment prior to use and report any defects or damage to the site manager.
  • Grease radiators, blow clean of dust, and maintain oil levels in accordance with company procedures.
  • Operate machines responsibly and only use them for designed tasks.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure smooth and efficient running of the facility.
Requirements
  • NPORS certification for operating relevant machinery (essential).
  • High level of operational competence in heavy machinery handling.
  • Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental compliance.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
