Job Overview
The External Manufacturing Sourcing Professional will play a critical role in the Global Manufacturing Procurement organization at Eli Lilly and Company. This position is responsible for developing and implementing category sourcing strategies that enable Lilly's Manufacturing organization to engage external contract manufacturing organizations (CMO) to produce active pharmaceutical ingredients and dry drug products.
Key Responsibilities- Sourcing and Negotiation: Develop and execute supplier strategies through sourcing, supplier selection, contract negotiation, and contract management.
- Market Intelligence: Provide market intelligence to support sourcing strategies and ensure a competitive edge in the procurement of raw materials, intermediates, API, and dry products.
- Spend Analytics: Conduct spend analytics and prepare various reports to optimize procurement processes and improve supply chain efficiency.
- Commercial Leadership: Support procurement activities and provide commercial leadership for raw materials, intermediates, API, and dry products with external CMOs.
