Job Title: Hazardous Energy Control Specialist

We are seeking a skilled professional to lead hazardous-energy control during equipment maintenance in the MedTech industry.

Job Description:

This permanent, on-site position will be central to safeguarding staff, patients, equipment integrity, and regulatory compliance.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and documenting all energy sources (electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, etc.)
  • Developing and implementing detailed Lockout/Tagout procedures for medical and service equipment
  • Delivering training for staff on LOTO protocols; conducting audits to verify adherence
  • Oversight of LOTO implementation during maintenance and servicing operations
  • Maintenance of accurate records of LOTO activities, training sessions, and audits
  • Ensuring practices align with OSHA and EU safety and regulatory standards
  • Investigation of LOTO-related incidents or near-misses; driving corrective actions

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering, EHS, or related field
  • 3-6 years' experience managing LOTO programmes in MedTech or manufacturing
  • A strong understanding of hazardous energy control best practice and standards
  • Experience collaborating with maintenance teams and completing safety audits
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
