Sigmar Recruitment is currently working with a highly successful company in the Midlands who are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager / Buyer to join their team in Roscommon.
About The Role:
This Procurement Manager / Buyer role involves managing the purchase and supply of all procured goods and services.
You will be responsible for:
- Managing the supplier base, negotiating improved supplier terms and pricing.
- Conducting market research and reporting on movements in price and changes in terms being offered.
- Managing supplier relationships, improving supplier performance and building successful supply chain partnerships.
- Identifying and assessing new supply options for current and upcoming purchasing requirements.
- Arranging and attending supplier meetings to analyse and discuss supplier performance.
- Maintaining regular communication with the Production Team to finalise and confirm the weekly production schedule.
- Placing orders with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Coordinating with internal teams to align purchasing with organisational needs.
- Analysing internal purchasing processes and suggesting improvements.
Requirements:
- 3+ Years Experience in previous purchasing / buyer role.
- Strong experience in fast-moving manufacturing environment (Construction, Engineering).
- Thorough working knowledge of supply management, purchasing policies, processes and procedures.
- Good negotiation skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to details to ensure all purchase orders are accurate.
