Job Overview

The role involves leading projects in water infrastructure, ensuring successful delivery while adhering to industry standards. This position requires working as part of a team to achieve project goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure health and safety standards are always followed on-site.
  • Familiarize yourself with the HSQE management system and procedures, including current statutory requirements.
  • Manage the day-to-day operation of the site when necessary.
  • Prepare detailed method statements and risk assessments prior to work activities commencing.
  • Deliver projects in-line with quality procedures, ensuring FAT, SAT, ITRs, pipe pressure testing, hydrostatic tank testing, and commissioning are completed as per the quality plan.
  • Prepare project handover files, including O&M manuals, safety files, and As Constructed Drawings.
  • Ensure design, materials, and workmanship meet specified requirements.
  • Liaise with suppliers and sub-contractors to select vendors for project delivery.
  • Conduct weekly meetings to plan efficient and safe delivery of works.
  • Interact with stakeholders and members of the public as required.
  • Maintain CPD and keep up-to-date with industry standards and technology.
  • Support junior staff development and contribute to a culture of learning.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in the water and wastewater industry.
  • Minimum Level 8 Honours Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering.
  • Ability to work as part of a team in project delivery and contribute in team meetings.
  • Strong communication skills with high motivation.
