What You Will Do

We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team and contribute to the successful delivery of our development projects in Dublin and Wicklow. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial aspects of our projects are managed effectively.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Managing Project Costs

Manage the costs and financial aspects of our projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered within budget and to the highest standards. This will involve preparing accurate cost estimates, conducting cost analysis and value engineering, procuring materials and services, and monitoring and controlling project costs.

Collaborating with Stakeholders

Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure cost-effective project delivery. This will involve evaluating and negotiating subcontractor and supplier agreements to achieve the best value for the company.

Providing Expert Advice

Provide expert advice on cost management and procurement strategies to support decision-making processes. This will involve analyzing data and providing recommendations to stakeholders on how to optimize project budgets and improve cost efficiency.

What You Will Need

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry, preferably with experience in residential or commercial development projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods, and cost control techniques.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard software such as CostX, Bluebeam, or similar.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
