We are seeking dedicated professionals to fill a position as Social Care Workers in Cavan. Our client requires individuals who are passionate about delivering high-quality care to young people aged 13-17.

This role offers the chance to work with a team of experienced Social Care professionals to provide holistic and trauma-informed care. You will be responsible for building positive relationships with young people, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being, and supporting their development through various activities and interventions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective Care and Placement Plans
  • Promote the rights and responsibilities of each child/young person
  • Enhance attendance at school, training centres, medical and clinical appointments
  • Organise personal documents, arrangements, information, and finance on behalf of the young person
  • Liaise with parents, families, and other agencies on behalf of the young person
Requirements:
  • Be registered in the Social Care Workers Register maintained by CORU or hold a CORU-approved qualification and applied for registration
  • Have a working knowledge of HIQA and current legislation and professional childcare knowledge
  • Undertake ongoing professional training and development
